Wainfleet St. Mary is situated within Skegness, a seaside town and civil parish in the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire, England. Skegness lies on the North Sea coast, 43 miles east of Lincoln and 22 miles north‑east of Boston, and has a population of 21,128 as of 2021, making it the largest settlement in East Lindsey. The town incorporates the areas of Winthorpe and Seacroft and forms a larger built‑up area together with the resorts of Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards to the north. Skegness is served by the A52 and A158 roads, which connect it with Boston, the East Midlands, and Lincoln respectively.
