The parish also includes the village of Winderton, approximately 1.5 miles northeast of Brailes, and the deserted medieval village of Chelmscote, roughly 3.5 miles north of Brailes. The parish boundaries are defined to the east by Ditchedge Lane and Beggars' Lane, a historic ridgeway that forms part of the county boundary with Oxfordshire, and to the north-east by a minor road that follows the course of a Roman road.
