Carrog is a village in Denbighshire, Wales, near Corwen. Formerly referred to as Llansanffraid-Glyn Dyfrdwy, it lies within the parish of Llansanffraid. The village is noted for its railway station, which was part of the Ruabon to Barmouth line. Between 1956 and 1962 a camping coach was positioned here by the Western Region. The station was scheduled to close to passengers on 18 January 1965 but was closed early on 14 December 1964 due to flood damage. In 1956 the station handled various classes of traffic including G, P, F, L, H, and C, although there was no crane. The historical context suggests a community with past transport links and modest infrastructure.
