Stapleton, Leicestershire, is a village and former civil parish that is now part of the parish of Kirkby Mallory, Peckleton and Stapleton in the Hinckley and Bosworth district. The village lies in south‑west Leicestershire, roughly ten miles south‑west of Leicester city centre. According to the 2001 census, the population was 427 people, a rise from 252 in 1931. Stapleton was originally a chapelry in Barwell parish, and from 1866 it became a civil parish in its own right until it was abolished on 1 April 1935 and merged with Peckleton. The area retains a rural setting with a small community and historic character.
