Eyre, Portree, IV51 9XB

Eyre, Portree is situated on the Trotternish peninsula, the northernmost part of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The peninsula extends from Portree to Rubha Hunish and is dominated by a nearly 30‑kilometre escarpment that includes prominent landmarks such as the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing. The summit of The Storr, overlooking the Old Man, reaches 719 m above sea level and represents the highest point on the peninsula. The north‑eastern section around the Quiraing has been designated a National Scenic Area, while the entire escarpment is recognised as a Special Area of Conservation. These designations highlight the area's ecological and visual importance, underscoring the unique natural environment that characterises the locality within the IV 51 postal district.
