Lower Eashing, Godalming, GU8 6AA

Lower Eashing is situated within the civil parish and market town of Godalming, located in southwest Surrey, England. Godalming lies about 30 miles (49 km) southwest of central London and is part of the Borough of Waverley. The parish sits at the confluence of the Rivers Wey and Ock and covers 3.74 square miles (9.7 km²). The area includes settlements such as Farncombe, Binscombe and Aaron's Hill. Much of the local geology is based on the Lower Greensand Group, and Bargate stone was quarried locally until the Second World War. These features give the locality a distinct historical and geographical character within Surrey’s rural landscape.
