This property is located in Campsall, a village within the Doncaster district, surrounded by the fertile soils of the Magnesian Limestone Belt and close to Campsall Country Park.
Campsall is a village and former civil parish, now part of the parish of Norton, in the Doncaster district of South Yorkshire, England. It lies 7 miles (11 km) to the north‑west of Doncaster, at an elevation of around 50 feet above sea level. The village contains Campsall Country Park and is situated on the Magnesian Limestone Belt, a narrow north‑south trending escarpment characterised by well‑drained, fertile soils that were ideal for agriculture and early settlement. Historically, the area east of the village was occupied by the inaccessible, waterlogged marshes of the Humberhead Levels, while the west was covered by Barnsdale Forest, an area linked to the legend of Robin Hood and to outlaws who preyed on travellers on the Great North Road. The village falls within the Norton & Askern ward of Doncaster Council and the House of Commons constituency of Doncaster North. In 1931 the parish had a population of 260.
