T1 Beech, tree has a heavy lean to the West and a crown also biased to this direction, there is a property situated under the edge of the crown on the Southern side. The tree has shed limbs into this property in 2018 believed to be partly due to the extended period of dry weather and the length of the limbs involved. There is a deep cavity at the base of the tree but no fungal activity has been noted on the three times I have seen it. I propose to prune the South side of the crown removing altogether the low limb on this side and selectively removing the larger branches on the South side and letting the smaller branches take over as that part of the crown. This would have the effect of reducing the spread on the South side by at most 5m, removing weight to shift the crown bias North Westward away from the property underneath and removing heavier matierial which is obviously more damaging to property were it to fail either individually or as a whole.
