The parish shares borders with Ettington, Oxhill and Pillerton Hersey. Pillerton Priors and Pillerton Hersey are jointly known as “The Pillertons.” St Mary’s Church, located in Pillerton Hersey, serves both villages; the original church in Pillerton Priors burned down in 1672, after which St Mary’s became the parish centre. The area’s historical note includes a reference to 1668 and the fourth bell in 1672, underscoring its long‑standing local heritage.
