Rostrevor, Newry, BT34 3FH

Rostrevor is a village in the Newry, Mourne and Down local government area, located approximately 7.5 miles (12 km) south‑east of Newry. The village is set within a rural environment and is close to Rostrevor Forest, providing natural scenery and outdoor space. Historically, the area was served by the Newry, Warrenpoint and Rostrevor Railway, a former line that linked Newry to the port of Warrenpoint on Carlingford Lough. The railway, which operated until 1965, was absorbed into the Great Northern Railway of Ireland in 1886. Today, Rostrevor remains a quiet community with a strong sense of local character and a connection to the surrounding countryside.
