Bashall Eaves is a village and civil parish in the Ribble Valley district of Lancashire, England. The settlement lies about four miles (6 km) west of Clitheroe, placing it within easy reach of the market town’s amenities while maintaining a distinctly rural atmosphere. The name ‘Eaves’ derives from Old English, referring to the village’s position on the borders of the Forest of Bowland, a notable natural area that has historically shaped the local landscape. Although Bashall Eaves was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it was transferred to Lancashire on 1 April 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972.
