Replace existing boundary fence between 1 Bradley Cottages and the A33. Current fencing has started to degrade and we would like to replace it with acoustic fencing that will be 3.0m tall. The fence will run the full length of the property and incorporate a shiplay board type construction. It will be constructed of an inner and outer panel with an acoustic internal layer made up of 2 different layers of acoustic deadening material. We are keen to reduce the amount of road noise and a key factor in this is the distance from source to ear and that needs to be achieved by having a high pannel. With only the A33 laying parallel we feel there is minimal impact to anyone surrounding as only passing traffic will see it. Our neighbours all support and welcome it as it will also bring reduced noise levels for them too. With proposed developments to the north with the distribution centre and possible further developments in Micheldever Station, the A33 seems to only be getting busier.
