Tupton, Chesterfield, S42 6AY

Tupton is a village and civil parish in North East Derbyshire, England, situated roughly five miles (8 km) south of the town of Chesterfield. The parish includes the areas of Old Tupton and New Tupton, and its population was 3,428 at the 2011 Census. It lies just north of Clay Cross on the A61, a road that connects Chesterfield to Alfreton. Residents benefit from the rural character of the village while remaining within easy reach of the larger town. The community is commonly referred to simply as Tupton, although a similarly named area, Tapton, exists a few miles away within the Chesterfield district.
