Lower Brailes is a village that forms part of the civil parish of Brailes in Warwickshire, England. The parish covers the two villages of Lower and Upper Brailes, which are located in the north Cotswolds and often referred to as a single settlement. The area lies approximately 3 mi (5 km) east of Shipston‑on‑Stour and includes the village of Winderton about 1.5 mi (2.4 km) to the north‑east. The deserted medieval village of Chelmscote is situated about 3.5 mi (5.6 km) north of Brailes. The parish boundaries are defined by Ditchedge Lane and Beggars' Lane to the east, a historic ridgeway that also forms part of the county boundary with Oxfordshire, and a minor road to the north‑east that follows the course of a Roman road.
