Churt, Farnham, GU10 2PP

Churt is a village and civil parish in the borough of Waverley, Surrey, England. It lies about 5.5 miles south of Farnham on the A287 road towards Hindhead. The settlement is clustered, surrounded by green buffers such as the Devil’s Jumps. The western part of the village slopes down to the steep edge of Whitmore Vale, which is mostly in Headley, Hampshire; a steeply cut brook at the foot of this bank marks the Hampshire border. Forests and heathland are found by and atop the Greensand Ridge, and the hamlet of Crosswater lies in the north of the parish. The village’s setting offers a mix of woodland and open heath, with the Greensand Ridge providing scenic views. Residents benefit from a quiet rural atmosphere while remaining within easy reach of Farnham’s amenities via the A287.
