Badshot Lea is a locality situated within the civil parish of Farnham in the Borough of Waverley, Surrey, England. Farnham itself is a market town and civil parish that encompasses the villages of Badshot Lea, Hale and Wrecclesham, covering an area of 14.1 square miles (37 square kilometres). The population of the parish was recorded as 39,488 in the 2011 census. The town lies on the north branch of the River Wey, a tributary of the Thames, and is positioned at the western end of the North Downs. Farnham is located approximately 36 miles (58 kilometres) southwest of London and is close to the county border with Hampshire.
