Shepton Mallet is a market town and civil parish in Somerset, England, with an estimated population of 10,810 in 2019. It lies some 16 miles southwest of Bath, 18 miles south of Bristol and five miles east of Wells, placing it within convenient reach of larger urban centres while retaining a distinctly rural feel.
