Huddlesford is a locality within the civil parish and cathedral city of Lichfield in Staffordshire, England. Lichfield lies 18 miles south‑east of the county’s boundary and is noted for its historic cathedral. The Lichfield Canal, now a historic feature, was once part of the Wyrley and Essington Canal system, running from Ogley Junction at Brownhills on the northern Birmingham Canal Navigations to Huddlesford Junction east of Lichfield on the Coventry Canal. The 7‑mile (11.3 km) branch was abandoned in 1955 and largely filled in, but its history remains part of the area’s heritage.
