Pont Robert, Meifod, SY22 6JS

Meifod, formerly also written Meivod, is a small village, community and electoral ward in Montgomeryshire, Powys, Wales. The village is situated seven miles (11 km) north‑west of Welshpool and lies on the A495 road in the valley of the River Vyrnwy. The River Banwy joins the Vyrnwy approximately two miles (3.2 km) to the west of the village. Meifod has a population of 317, and the community also includes the village of Bwlch‑y‑cibau. The area is characterised by rural surroundings, river valleys and a close‑knit community structure typical of small Welsh villages. Its postal district is SY 22, and it is part of the larger Montgomeryshire region within Powys.
