NOTIFICATION OF PROPOSED WORKS TO TREES IN A CONSERVATION AREAThe tree is a tall fir /spruce tree. Its height now means that it is prone to coming down in high winds. It is located near both telephone and power lines, which depending on the direction it fell, would take them down and could also block the road. It also poses a threat to both mine and my neighbours properties and cars parked on our respective drives, should it fall in a more southerly direction. Both properties are within 30 feet and 50 feet of the tree, I estimate the height of the tree to be 25 to 32 meters.My first inclination was to reduce the height of the tree, however given the species, merely reducing its height would leave an ungainly 'sight'. Ideally I would like to remove the tree completely and replant, as per your size specifications. Given that this is on the corner of my drive, which I allow my neighbour access across, I would locate this to the left of the Hazel tree in my front border. I have consulted a qualified tree surgeon, before submitting these comments. I have also advised my neighbours in Sanquhar of this application. They are in agreement with me.I have consulted my neighbour, Mrs Molloy who lives in Derry Cottage, regarding the hedge between our properties. I am not sure if I need permission, however we would like to reduce its height, up to a maximum, in places by 30%. Over the years it has grown so tall as to significantly block light from particularly her property. It would be height reduction and not removal
