Beeston, Nottinghamshire, is a town in the Borough of Broxtowe, England, situated approximately 3 miles south‑west of Nottingham. The town is adjacent to the University of Nottingham’s main campus, University Park, to its north‑east. The headquarters of the pharmaceutical and retail chemist group Boots lie about 0.6 miles (1 km) east of Beeston’s centre, on the border between Broxtowe and the City of Nottingham. To the south of Beeston are the River Trent and the village of Attenborough, which features extensive wetlands. The area is characterised by its proximity to major employment sites, a university setting, and nearby natural features such as the River Trent and surrounding wetlands.
