Gunby is a hamlet in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is a village and former civil parish, now incorporated into the parish of Gunby and Stainby. The settlement lies close to the borders with Leicestershire and Rutland, and is situated 9 miles (14 km) south of Grantham and 2 miles (3 km) west of the A1 road. In 1921 the parish had a population of 119. On 1 April 1931 the parish was abolished and merged with Stainby to form the civil parish of Gunby and Stainby. The locality is part of the NG 33 postal district and is described as a quiet rural community within reach of larger towns and major road links.
