Llanllyfni, Caernarfon, LL54 6SP

Llanllyfni is a village and community in Gwynedd, Wales, situated in the historic county of Caernarfonshire. The community includes the villages of Drws‑y‑coed, Nantlle, Nasareth, Nebo, Penygroes, Talysarn and Llanllyfni itself. Penygroes, Llanllyfni and Talysarn are almost conjoined, creating a close‑knit settlement pattern. As an electoral ward, the 2011 census recorded a population of 1,256, and the community covers 43 square kilometres. The area is largely Welsh‑speaking, with 85 % of residents speaking Welsh as their first language. The locality falls within the Caernarfon postal district (LL 54) and is part of the larger town of Caernarfon, a royal town and port in Gwynedd with a population of 9,852 when combined with Caeathro. The surrounding region is characterised by rural landscapes and a strong sense of local identity.
