Achmore (Scottish Gaelic: An t‑Acha Mòr; also marked as Acha Mòr on some maps) is a village in the Scottish Outer Hebrides, situated on the Isle of Lewis. The name means ‘big field’. It lies within the parish of Lochs and is located on the A858 road, approximately 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Stornoway. Notably, Achmore is the only village on Lewis that does not lie on the coast, giving it a distinct inland setting.
