Toomebridge, Antrim, BT41 3TZ

Toomebridge lies within the former Antrim borough, a district that covered some 220 square miles and had a population of 53,428 in 2011. The borough was situated about 19 miles north‑west of Belfast and bordered the north and east shores of Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in the United Kingdom. It included the towns of Antrim, Toomebridge, Crumlin, Randalstown, Parkgate and Templepatrick. The borough’s council headquarters were on the outskirts of Antrim town, and although it was not part of the Belfast Metropolitan Area, it housed the city’s international airport and many commuter villages. Residents of Toomebridge benefit from a quiet, rural environment with proximity to larger towns and the natural setting of Lough Neagh, while still being within commuting distance of Belfast.
