Corrinshego is situated in the Parish of Middle Killeavy, County Armagh, Northern Ireland, and lies approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) to the west of Newry in the Newry, Mourne and Down District. The locality is notable for Killeavy Castle, a Grade A listed 19th‑century castle that was constructed for the Foxall family between 1810 and 1820. The castle was later redesigned to resemble Gosford Castle in Markethill, also in County Armagh. In 2013, plans for the castle’s restoration were announced, supported by a £1 million grant from Invest Northern Ireland. The proximity to Newry provides residents with access to town amenities while maintaining a rural setting that highlights the historical character of the area.
