The civil parish of Wedmore consists of three main villages—Wedmore, Blackford and Theale—and 17 hamlets, including Blakeway, Clewer, Crickham, Cocklake, Heath House, Latcham, Little Ireland, Middle Stoughton, Mudgley, Panborough, Sand, Stoughton Cross, Washbrook, West End, West Ham and West Stoughton. According to the 2011 census, the parish had a population of 3,318. The area is identified by the postal district BS 28.
