Nunnington is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England, with a population of 361 including the nearby settlement of Stonegrave. The River Rye runs through the village, and a stone bridge over the river separates the grounds of Nunnington Hall from the village. The hall, a country house situated in the county, is owned, conserved and managed as a visitor attraction by the National Trust. The river gives its name to the local area, Ryedale, and flows away from the village. A ridge known as Caulkley's Bank lies between Nunnington and the Vale of York to the south, while the Vale of Pickering and the North York Moors lie to the north and east of the village.
