Salford Priors, Evesham, WR11 8GW

Salford Priors is a rural, agricultural village and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. It lies about four miles south‑west of Alcester and is on the Warwickshire border with Worcestershire. The population of the civil parish was 1,546 at the 2011 census, and the wider ward, which includes Abbot's Salford, Dunnington, Iron Cross, Pitchill, Rushford and Mudwalls, had 1,492 residents in 2001. The village is eight miles from the popular tourist town of Stratford‑upon‑Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the River Avon runs nearby. Evesham, an important agricultural centre and soft‑fruit growing area, lies seven miles to the south‑west. The setting is predominantly rural with farmland and a quiet village character.
