Glas Pwll, Machynlleth, SY20 8TZ

Glas Pwll is a locality within the Machynlleth postal district SY 20. It lies close to the village of Van, Llanidloes, where Van Pool (Welsh: Pwll y Fan) is a small lake situated just outside the village. The area is historically associated with the Glyndŵr rebellion, a Welsh uprising that took place between 1400 and 1415. During the height of the rebellion, Owain Glyndŵr controlled much of Wales, captured several powerful English castles, and convened a parliament at Machynlleth. The revolt was the last major expression of Welsh independence before Wales was annexed into England in the 1540s.
