Catterick Bridge is a village in North Yorkshire, England, forming part of the Catterick electoral division of North Yorkshire Council. The area also has a parish council, indicating a level of local governance. The village lies along the A6136 road to Richmond, providing a direct route to the nearby market town. Historically, the Catterick Military Railway served the village, connecting Catterick Camp with the Eryholme–Richmond line at Catterick Bridge railway station. Built in 1915 as a light railway to support the construction of Catterick Camp, the line later became a supply route for Catterick Garrison. It offered a semi‑regular passenger service for military personnel until 1964, after which it was closed and removed in 1970.
